Our story ❤️
If you'd told us a couple of years ago that we'd be creating our own skincare brand, we probably would have laughed.
It was never part of the plan. In fact, there wasn't a business plan at all.
It all started with a conversation.
Like so many of our conversations, we were talking about health, ageing well and the things we'd been reading lately. We'd both become really interested in peptides—especially GHK-Cu (Copper Tripeptide-1)—and the more we learned, the more fascinated we became.
We were constantly sending each other research, listening to podcasts, reading studies and sharing everything we discovered.
Eventually, we both decided to try the injectable form ourselves. While we loved the science behind it and what the research was showing, we quickly realised that injections weren't the long-term answer for us.
Somewhere during one of those conversations, one of us asked, “Why isn't there a really good skincare product with GHK-Cu in it?”
That was it. One simple question. Neither of us realised it at the time, but that question would end up changing both of our lives.
From curiosity to complete obsession.
What started as curiosity quickly turned into something much bigger. The more we learned about peptides and skin biology, the more excited we became. But we also became frustrated.
There were plenty of products claiming to contain incredible ingredients, but we kept asking ourselves the same questions. How much is actually in here? Is it enough to make a difference? Why has this ingredient been included? Does this formula actually make sense?
The deeper we went, the more we realised that creating great skincare wasn't about putting as many trendy ingredients into a bottle as possible. It was about understanding how ingredients work together and choosing every ingredient with purpose.
That's when we started thinking, “What if we created the serum we'd been looking for ourselves?” We had no idea what we were getting ourselves into.
Looking back now, it's funny to think how innocent that idea was. We thought we'd find a manufacturer, create a formula and be ready to go.
We couldn't have been more wrong.
There were months of research, meetings with cosmetic chemists, endless emails, prototype after prototype, and ingredients we thought we'd definitely include that never made the final formula.
There were plenty of moments when we wondered whether we'd bitten off more than we could chew. But every time something didn't feel quite right, we kept going.
Because we weren't creating a product just to start a business. We were creating something we genuinely wanted to use ourselves.
We refused to compromise.
If we were going to put our names on a bottle, it had to be something we'd proudly recommend to our own family and friends.
Not because it had the longest ingredient list. Not because it followed the latest skincare trend. But because we genuinely believed in every ingredient we chose and every decision we made.
That meant saying no to shortcuts, taking more time, asking lots of questions and refusing to settle until we were truly happy with the final formula.
More than just a serum.
The day we finally held the finished bottle in our hands was incredibly special.
Not because we'd started a skincare company, but because we'd created something we'd been searching for ourselves.
When we look at that bottle now, we don't just see skincare. We see every conversation, every late-night idea, every prototype, every challenge, every lesson and every little moment that brought us here.
